5 Unique Date Night Ideas

Bored of the same old date night? I like a good movie and dinner, but sometimes, you want to try something different. When you’ve been dating someone for a while, you can take it beyond the typical date. If you’re looking for something adventurous, active or just beyond the “dinner & movie” package, check out the list below!

1. Enroll in a cooking class
I recommend doing this after you’ve been dating for about 6 months. Cooking classes take a long time – about 3 to 4 hours. That’s not something you may want to try when you’re still getting to know each other, but once you’ve established being in a relationship, this can be really fun. You’re learning how to cook and learning how to work with each other to achieve a common goal. My fiance and I enrolled in an Italian cooking class a few months and it was a blast! We had a great time learning and we had a delicious meal afterwards – below are pics of what we made:

2. Ziplining Adventure Course
If you’re into adventure, I recommend a ziplining adventure course. There are a lot of resorts & inns in the Pennsylvania area that have an adventure course. I believe the one I went to was called the Skytop Lodge right outside of the Poconos. They had obstacles that you have to tackle in the forest above the ground and after each course, you ziplined to the next one. It was really fun, I highly recommend finding something like this in your area.

3. Go-kart racingIf you have a need for speed, this is where you want to go. You aren’t allowed to bump into other rides for safety reasons, but you can pass if there is a clear thruway. This is a great way to speed without the penalty of a ticket! It gives you a rush for sure and if you’re competitive, they rank you at the end of each race so you know who the winner is. 4. Trivia Night at a barI haven’t personally done this yet, but a lot of my friends have. Trivia nights are usually themed depending on the bar you go to (anything from Harry Potter to music). Pick a topic that interests you both and have fun! Prizes depend on the bar but they usually give out free drinks and cash.

What do you think of these date night ideas? Have you done one before?
